LINK M1 DEVELOPER BIBLE

COLLECTION [A] — Core Architecture & Development Doctrine

Framework: LFW 1.02
Runtime: PIR (Portable Interaction Runtime)
SDK: Link Forge SDK (LFS)

0️⃣ CORE PHILOSOPHY

Invisible Technology

Link systems are not apps.
They are experience layers controlling engines through interfaces.

The device disappears.
The experience remains.

Offline First

All systems must:

  • run without internet
  • resolve dependencies locally
  • maintain local identity + session state
  • support AirLink hotspot mode

Systems Are Experiences

A system is NOT:

  • a hardware driver
  • a UI shell
  • a runtime replacement

A system IS:

  • orchestration of engines
  • modules providing logic
  • interfaces providing interaction

AI-Cloneable Architecture

Every .sys must:

  • describe its architecture in comments
  • define module design rules
  • define engine expectations
  • expose command schemas
  • declare device behavior

future AI must be able to generate compatible systems from a single file.

1️⃣ CORE COMPONENT MODEL

System
 ├── Engines
 ├── Modules
 ├── Interfaces
 ├── Command Schema
 ├── Permissions
 └── Signature

2️⃣ SYSTEM DESIGN

Responsibilities

  • boot runtime
  • load engines
  • load modules
  • attach interfaces
  • manage session state
  • control appearance
  • enforce permissions

Must Not

  • perform hardware access directly
  • render UI directly
  • spawn processes directly

Lifecycle

onInstall
onBoot
onReady
onInterfaceAttach
onSuspend
onShutdown

Layout Philosophy

Desktop:

  • bento trays
  • horizontal module flow

Mobile:

  • vertical stacked modules
  • minimal UI density

Remote:

  • command-only UI
  • schema-driven

3️⃣ ENGINE DESIGN

Engines are hardware + native capability controllers.

Examples:

  • image.engine
  • audio.engine
  • layout.engine
  • render.engine
  • appearance.engine

Responsibilities

  • spawn native processes
  • control decoding
  • access GPU / hardware
  • expose command schema
  • emit engine events

Engine Rules

must:

  • expose capabilities
  • expose command schema
  • publish event topics

must not:

  • contain UI
  • contain business logic
  • assume specific system

Engine Versioning

SDK checks:

  • schema compatibility
  • removed commands
  • renamed parameters
  • capability changes

SDK auto migrates:

  • command mappings
  • interface bindings

4️⃣ MODULE DESIGN

Modules provide:

  • experience logic
  • file selection
  • content indexing
  • playlist management
  • automation

Module Rules

must:

  • declare engine dependencies
  • use event bus
  • define lifecycle hooks

must not:

  • spawn native processes
  • directly access hardware
  • override engine behavior

5️⃣ INTERFACE DESIGN

Interfaces are interaction surfaces.

Types:

  • display
  • remote
  • keyboard
  • trackpad
  • gamepad
  • speaker
  • custom virtual device

Interface Rules

must:

  • fetch command schema
  • grey out unsupported commands
  • adapt to device profile
  • support peer-to-peer

must not:

  • assume screen size
  • assume single operator

6️⃣ SESSION MODEL

single active runtime instance

multiple interfaces allowed

multi-operator allowed:

  • multiplayer gamepads
  • collaborative remotes

new device joining:

  • receives session snapshot
  • adapts layout profile
  • attaches to engines

7️⃣ COMMAND SCHEMA DESIGN

commands are:

engine.command(parameter)

example:

image.play(file)
audio.pause()
render.focus(module)

schema defines:

  • allowed interfaces
  • permission level
  • parameter types

8️⃣ AIRLINK (HOTSPOT MODE)

design assumptions:

  • direct host connection
  • websocket command stream
  • local decoding on host

expected performance:

  • keypress latency: 10–35 ms
  • UI updates: 15–50 ms
  • 4K30 remote playback stable
  • remote UI preferred over video streaming

interfaces should render locally whenever possible.

9️⃣ CAPABILITY SANDBOX

permissions include:

  • engine access levels
  • filesystem access
  • network scope
  • hardware locks
  • native execution rights

SDK enforces:

  • permission declaration
  • runtime validation
  • build warnings

🔟 SIGNING & CERTIFICATION

signatures:

  • dev
  • lab
  • official

signed systems:

  • read only
  • integrity checked
  • tamper detected

unsigning requires:

  • private dev key

SDK signing pipeline:

analyze → hash → sign → lock

1️⃣1️⃣ SDK DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOW

developer flow:

create system
drag engines
add modules
attach interfaces
declare dependencies
simulate interfaces
relay test to host
resolve conflicts
submit for beta
sign bundle
deploy

1️⃣2️⃣ RELAY (TERMINAL)

RELAY allows:

  • live command testing
  • interface simulation
  • multiplayer input tests
  • AirLink latency testing
  • engine command debugging

1️⃣3️⃣ CONFLICT RESOLUTION

SDK detects:

  • duplicate modules
  • command collisions
  • engine naming conflicts
  • port overlaps
  • dependency mismatches

build is blocked until resolved.

1️⃣4️⃣ AI TEMPLATE SYSTEM

SDK generates templates with:

  • AI clone headers
  • lifecycle skeletons
  • event bus examples
  • capability schemas
  • device profile rules

this guarantees AI compatibility.

1️⃣5️⃣ PACKAGING MODEL

bundle structure:

System.bundle
 ├── System.sys
 ├── engines/
 ├── modules/
 ├── interfaces/
 ├── manifest.json
 ├── signature.json
 └── build.hash

modules auto-skip install if already present.

FINAL DOCTRINE

Link M1 is:

  • decentralized
  • offline-first
  • experience-driven
  • engine-centered
  • interface-independent
  • AI-cloneable
  • signed + secure
  • self-healing

systems are portable interaction environments, not applications.
